Legal name of the account owner
Sort code
Account number
Specify whether the account is a personal or business account
The name you or your customers need to provide to a payer depends on the type of account owner:
Individual
The full legal name of the account owner. Nicknames are not guaranteed to match if they are significantly different from the legal name registered with us.
Business
The legal business name as registered with Companies House, and as appears on invoices. At this time, trading names will not return a positive match.
Sole trader
The full, personal legal name of the sole trader, for example, the name that appears on invoices. At this time, trading names will not return a positive match.
